On Thursday, Oct. 26, The Quad at Santa Monica College’s main campus hosted SMC’s first-ever HBCU Caravan, a college fair highlighting Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) from across the country, attended by nearly 500 students.

Dr. Rochelle Ford is traveling at warp speed in her new role as president of Dillard University, the oldest HBCU in the state of Louisiana. Appointed to the prestigious post last month, Ford immediately made strides to implement her main goal of enlisting the support of “alumni, partners, everyone we encounter” to help fulfill the university’s mission. During a recent visit to Los Angeles, the president elaborated on her strategies to achieve that objective.

Dillard University Names Adria N. Kimbrough as Pre-Law Advisor

Dillard University is pleased to announce the appointment of Adria N. Kimbrough, Esq., as Pre-Law Advisor for its Center for Law and Public Interest. The role is a continuation of Kimbrough’s volunteer efforts over the last three years, where she has served as an advisor and mentor to aspiring law students at Dillard University. Kimbrough’s efforts have included the creation of a Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) Boot Camp designed to increase student test scores, and a host of workshops and lectures to expose students to the legal profession.
