SoFi Stadium, the new home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, hosted a virtual ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, September 8 marking the start of its inaugural year. The ceremony included Rams Owner/Chairman and SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park developer E. Stanley Kroenke, Chargers Owner/Chairman Dean Spanos and the city of Inglewood’s Mayor James T. Butts, with a video message from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. NFL Network’s Steve Wyche served as master of ceremonies.

The Los Angeles Chargers helped create an athletic field and teen resource center at the Boys and Girls Club Watts/Willowbrook Clubhouse. Franchise owner Dean Spanos, wide receiver Travis Benjamin, and defensive tackle Justin Jones visited the Boys and Girls Club for a ribbon cutting ceremony of the new facilities.
Alex Gus Spanos, owner of the Chargers and founder of A.G. Spanos Companies, a family-owned real estate and construction company, died at age 95 on Tuesday morning.
Tomlinson will support the organization and expand its community outreach as the franchise continues the transition to Los Angeles.

The now Los Angeles Chargers will host their home games in the StubHub Center in Carson until the Inglewood stadium is completed in 2019.
