Junipero Serra High School announced in December 2016 that Austin Jackson ’01 was named interim dean of students following the unexpected passing of longtime dean, Dwan Hurt ’81. Principal Jeff Guzman is pleased to announce the interim tagged has been removed and that Jackson has officially been tabbed as Serra’s full-time dean.
Milton S. F. Curry has been named dean of the USC School of Architecture, effective July 1. He will hold the Della and Harry MacDonald Dean’s Chair in Architecture.
“There was, and still is, nothing better than being a teacher. It is so rewarding,” said newly appointed dean of California State University of Fullerton Dr. Lisa Kirtman.
Kirtman, who will officially take over the position on August 16, began her career in education in South L.A. in the ‘90s.
