Beyoncé and JAY-Z to be honored at the 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards for Accelerating LGBTQ Acceptance on March 28, 2019, in Los Angeles

GLAAD, the world’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, today announced that it will honor Beyoncé and JAY-Z together with the Vanguard Award for their LGBTQ allyship at the 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton on Thursday, March 28, 2019.

Vic Bulluck Directs Viola Davis and Julius Tennon Produced Play ‘Paradise’

Bulluck’s new passion project is his latest play titled “Paradise.” Originally written by Laura Censebella, the play shares the journey between a gifted Yemeni-American and biology teacher’s unlikely relationship. The pair becomes tangled in conflict, religious differences, and test the boundaries of mentorship. Viola Davis and Julius Tennon’s production company JuVee Productions teamed with American Oasis to bring the play to life.

2019 Academy Award Nominations:

The Favourite and Roma tied for the most Oscar nominations with 10 each, thereby besting Golden Globe Best Picture-winners Green Book and Bohemian Rhapsody which only landed 5 apiece. Still, the most surprising news is the love lavished by the Academy on Spike Lee, who was nominated for Best Director for the first time in his 40-year career.

The African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) is proud to announce that its 2019 Special Achievement Awards recipients are Netflix executive Tendo Nagenda; New York Times cultural critic Wesley Morris; Outlier Society executive Alana Mayo; HBO executive Kelly Edwards and the hit film “Crazy Rich Asians.” Sponsored by Morgan Stanley, the 2019 Special Achievement Awards take place Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the California Yacht Club in Marina del Rey, CA. The luncheon precedes its 10th AAFCA Awards Gala on Wednesday, February 6th at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood.
