City Workers Picket Across L.A. for One-Day Strike 

From downtown to Los Angeles International Airport, thousands of city workers went on strike on Tuesday, August 8, for a 24-hour work stoppage prompted by what their union believes is a lack of good-faith labor negotiations. 

Heather Hutt Appointed to Represent District 10 on City Council 

Cheers and applause filled the chambers on Tuesday, April 11, when the City Council voted 11-1 to appoint Heather Hutt as the voting representative for Council District 10. She will serve until December 2024, when the term ends.

Hutt Tapped to Chair All Women Council Committee

Los Angeles City Council is breaking barriers with Council President Paul Krekorian’s recent announcement surrounding new committee assignments. For the first time in history, City Council will have an all-women’s committee, with Councilwoman Heather Hutt leading as chair of the Transportation committee.
