It wasn’t the prettiest of wins at the California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, but in a game where getting the ‘W’ is what matters, the No. 24 USC Trojans (7-2, Pac-12, 5-1) defeated the California Golden Bears (3-5, Pac-12, 1-4) 50-49 in a back-and-forth game that saw the often-maligned Trojan defense end a two-game losing streak during the final minute of the game, shutting down a two-point conversion attempt by the Bears. It was a massive play for the defense, who also forced four turnovers.
Although the California Golden Bears scored 21 points in the fourth quarter alone, the USC Trojans endured and secured a 41-35 victory. The matchup ignited a mutual sense of frustration among both teams.
Junior guard Matt Bradley, has been a key contributor to the University of California Golden Bears men’s basketball team. In a span of nine games, Bradley has averaged 17.8 points and 4.7 rebounds.

Utah’s Parker Van Dyke buried a heavily contested NBA range 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Utes it’s only lead of the game as the time expired. Van Dykes fifth three-point basket of the game capped a 23-9 run in the final 2:45 of play and Utah went on to steal a 93-92 victory over UCLA on Saturday.
