Donations of full, king and queen blankets along with pillows will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the church’s garage parking lot at 2040 West Jefferson Boulevard in Los Angeles.
In keeping with the season of giving, Trinity Baptist Church will present two community events to help people enjoy the holidays. The first program is a Christmas concert entitled, “O Holy Night,” set for Sunday, Dec. 15, at 3:30 p.m., in the edifice at 2040 W. Jefferson Blvd., in Los Angeles. For the 11th consecutive year, the Homeless Ministry of Trinity Baptist Church conducted a successful Blanket Drive to aid homeless men, women and children living on L.A.’s skid row. According to Pastor Alvin Tunstill, Jr., and homeless activist Brian Ferguson, Trinity congregants and community members donated more than 400 new blankets and pillows during the annual event held on Dec. 15. In an effort to bless others as God blessed them, Pastor Alvin Tunstill, Jr., and the members of Trinity Baptist Church united with the Los Angeles Mission to offer a range of services to people residing on the city’s skid row. The day-long ‘Gala Affair,’ held on May 30, provided free haircuts, manicures, and foot-washing along with food, prizes and eighty $25 gift cards to more than 500 men, women and children.
