Reel Black Men Film Showcase Features Director Michael Schultz

Schultz salutes 2023 film directors, Maurice J. Irvin will host, David Massey and Juel Taylor will be presenters   Michael Schultz, a critically acclaimed director and producer, will be a special guest at the 25th Annual Reel Black Men Short Film Showcase opening night celebration on Thursday, September 22, at 7:30 p.m., at the Regal Theater, LA LIVE. BHERC Hosts 30th Annual ‘Sistas’ Short Film Showcase and Festival

The Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC) will host the 30th Anniversary of Sistas Are Doin’ It For Themselves Short Film Showcase and Virtual Film Festival on Friday, May 19, through Sunday, May 21, at the Directors Guild of America, 7920 Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles. The event will be streamed at BHERC.TV from May 22-31.

BHERC African American Film Marketplace Returns with Hybrid Format

The In-Person and Virtual Festival Includes “A Great Day in Black Hollywood “ and the S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase   The Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC) will sponsor the 28th Annual African American Film Marketplace and S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase (AAFM SEMSFS) over two weekends, August 19 – 21, and August 26 – 28.  According to BHERC President Sandra J. Filmmakers Panel Featured at BHERC Sistas’ Short Film Fest

The Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center wraps up the 29th Annual “Sistas Are Doin’ It For Themselves” Short Film Festival” with the third and final “Meet the Filmmakers’ Panel” on Saturday, April 9, at 1 p.m. PST/4 p.m. EST, on BHERC.TV. The event is virtual and free to the public.

BHERC Plans African American Film Marketplace & S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase

The Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC) will hold its 27th Annual African American Film Marketplace & S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase on Jan. 14-22, 2022. The hybrid event will feature more than 100 short films curated from 900 US and international entries. Entries also being accepted for the 12th Annual BHERC Youth Diversity Film Festival

Faith Film Festival Closes with Pastors’ Film Review & Roundtable

  Local Pastors, community leaders and clergy announce their film picks from this year’s Faith-based Film Festival. The Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC) extended the 2nd Annual BHERC Faith-Based & Inspirational Film Festival (FBIFF) through Sunday, October 3, to allow additional access and viewing of the films. Curated from 1,000+ entries from across the globe, the selection committee programmed 34 films for this year’s festival. Initially scheduled to be a hybrid event, the rise in the Delta variant of the COVID – 19 virus led to the festival being held online and currently streaming 24/7 on www.BHERC.TV. To obtain festival tickets,
