New Antioch COGIC Celebrates 50 Years

New Antioch Church of God in Christ will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 3:30 p.m., in the edifice located at 7826 S. Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles. The New Antioch Church of God in Christ will celebrate its Annual Men’s Day on Sunday, Sept. 8, with an emphasis on “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delights in his way.” – Psalm 37:23 The celebrated theme of the annual service is “God’s Unlimited Power Makes Anything Possible” with a scripture reference of Ephesians 3:20. Barbara McCoo Lewis Appointed COGIC General Supervisor

 The Church of God In Christ, Inc. announced Mother Barbara McCoo Lewis as General Supervisor of the International Department of Women. Lewis was appointed and installed during the April Call Annual Business Meeting in Memphis, Tennessee by Presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle, Bishop Charles E. Blake, Sr., in conjunction with the approval of the 12 General Board Members. In this role, she will oversee the Department of Women of the 6.5 million-member church.
