New Antioch Church of God in Christ will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 3:30 p.m., in the edifice located at 7826 S. Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles.
The theme is “Remembering Our Past, Embracing Our Present, Anticipating Our Future” based on I Thessalonians 1:3. Bishop Joe L. Ealy, presiding prelate of the First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, will be the keynote speaker.
According to a spokesperson, “New Antioch is a ministry that began humbly and prayerfully under the leadership of the late Bishop James A. Lewis and General Mother, Dr. Barbara McCoo Lewis.
“It continues to grow numerically, spiritually, and powerfully under the leadership of Superintendent Jeffrey M. Lewis and First Lady Floetta Lewis. Everyone is invited to come and join us on this momentous occasion and time of joyous fellowship in celebration of this great milestone in ministry.”
