Local Ministries Plan Good Friday and Resurrection Day Services

Several churches and organizations in the Los Angeles area will hold Good Friday and Easter Sunday worship services to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The following list highlights the activities of some of the sponsoring ministries who invite the public to attend. People’s Independent Church of Christ Bishop Craig A. Worsham and his congregation will host Good Friday worship on April 14, at 12 p.m. The Rev. Dr. E.V. Hill II will preach. Also, services are set for 6:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., on Resurrection Sunday. A fellowship breakfast will be held at 8 a.m.

People’s Independent Hosts MLK Interfaith Prayer Breakfast

In a salute to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., People’s Independent Church of Christ (PICC) will sponsor its 2017 MLK Interfaith Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 10:30 a.m. The event, coordinated by PICC’s Social Action Commission, will be held on the church’s campus located at 5856 West Blvd., in Los Angeles. L.A. Churches Host Christmas, New Year’s Eve Services

Local churches and ministries throughout the Southland will host several activities to observe Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. People’s Independent Church of Christ will sponsor three events during the holiday season. All activities will take place on the church’s campus at 5856 West Blvd., in Los Angeles. According to Bishop Craig A. Worsham, senior pastor, the Willa Dooley Missionary Society will conduct their annual distribution to the homeless on Friday, Dec. 23. People’s Independent Hosts Men’s Annual Day

Aiming to prepare the next generation, the Samaritan Men’s Ministry of People’s Independent Church of Christ (PICC) will focus their Annual Day Worship on young African American males.  The service is set for Sunday, November 20, at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., at PICC, 5856 West Boulevard in Los Angeles. “This worship is also a salute to our Men’s Ministry. With rejoicing and excitement, Bishop Craig A. Worsham and the members of People’s Independent Church of Christ are planning four days of events to mark their 101st anniversary. People’s Independent Presents Annual Spring Concert

The Cathedral Choir of People’s Independent Church of Christ (PICC) presents its Annual Spring Concert on Sunday, April 10, at 4 p.m., in the edifice located at 5856 West Blvd., in Los Angeles. People’s Independent Church Gives Back to Community

People’s Independent Church of Christ’s (PICC) history of community service will highlight their 100th anniversary service set for Sunday, October 18, at 4 p.m. The celebration, which takes place in their edifice located at 5856 West Boulevard in Los Angeles, will feature financial donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and the Special Needs Network, a nonprofit headed by Areva Martin that focuses on raising awareness about autism as well as people with disabilities.
