A group of alumni of Baton Rouge, La.’s Southern University and A&M College will now serve a 2-year term on the university’s Los Angeles Alumni Chapter’s Executive Board.
Los Angeles native Camille Mayo, a 1993 Accounting graduate, succeeds 1996 Sociology graduate and Gary, Ind., native Keith Mott as President. Columbia, La., native Douglas Robinson, a 1998 Broadcast Journalism graduate, remains Vice President. Los Angeles native Keisha Martin, a 1995 Political Science graduate, remains Recording Secretary. Chicago native Zale Johnson, a 1994 Marketing graduate, succeeds 1994 Print Journalism graduate and Los Angeles native Jevaillier Jefferson as Corresponding Secretary and Public Relations Coordinator.
Compton, Calif., native Alex Wade, a 1992 Fine Arts graduate, was elected Social Media Coordinator. Mansfield, La., native Willie Patterson, a 1959-1961 alumni of Southern University’s Music program, succeeds Los Angeles native Keita Shivers, a 2011 Accounting graduate, as Financial Secretary. Monroe, La., native Alice Grigsby, a 1961 Education graduate, succeeds Camille Mayo as Treasurer. Moreno Valley, Calif., native Ayanna Spivey, a 2014 Sociology and Social Work graduate, remains Parliamentarian.
New Orleans native Ronald Samuel, a 1967 Accounting graduate, was elected Historian. Glenmora, La., native Lois C. Hale, a 1967 Elementary Education graduate, was elected Chaplain.
