88th Street Temple Church Of God In Christ in partnership with Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas and community partners Coalition for Responsible Community Development (CRCD), Bridge Housing and PRIMESTOR are all uniting for “Winter Wonderland – Miracles on 88th Street!” free community event! This free event shall bring hope this holiday season and also snow, snow, snow! Who said South L.A. can’t have snow?

Those scheduled to attend include: Health Educators from Watts Healthcare passing out information and kids crafts; L.A. County Library passing out library themed items within our Kids Zone; Firefighters Ms. Alexis Kendrick & Mr. Anthony Dixon of the STENTORIANS of Los Angeles County; nationally recognized DJ General Lee; accomplished Chef T. Jackson formally Catering Chef of Wolf Gang Puck Catering & owner of Chef T. Jackson Catering; Hair Architects! providing free haircuts & internationally accomplished musician Professor Iris Stevenson- McCullough! We shall have FREE winter coats, a range of toiletries and body wipes to serve those in need including our homeless.

“Winter Wonderland – Miracles on 88th Street” free community event is a direct community service program of 88th Street Temple COGIC. Children, youth, adults and seniors in South Los Angeles will experience snow and can even make a real snow ball! Additional activities include: a petting zoo; The Trackless Train; carnival games; Christmas cookie decorating; information from community providers; free winter coat give-away and much fun this holiday season, at 88th Street Temple COGIC!

The free event us scheduled for Saturday, December 21, 2019 12pm to 3pm at 8825 S. Vermont Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90044.

Superintendent Anthony L. Williams, Senior Pastor, of 88th Street Temple COGIC is aware that many parents, teenagers and children find themselves feeling depressed and hopeless during the holiday season.
