WHAT: The South Coast Air Quality Management District will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with its MLK Day of Service Forum at The Proud Bird Event Center. This forum will feature prominent guests and speakers on the environment and air quality. Attendees will learn about the progress achieved and challenges ahead in cleaning the air throughout the Southland, especially in environmental justice communities.
This year’s keynote speaker is former Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa. Danny Bakewell, Sr. will be honored with the Environmental Justice for All Award. Over 300 participants are expected.
