Cannon has been an active philanthropist, activist, producer, among many other things. In some of his most recent interviews, Cannon told the Associated Press, “I’m rolling up my sleeves and going out to these communities and jumping into it. I’m not just reporting the stories but trying to become a part of the story…” Reiterating information from NBC news, Cannon will be taking time to grieve for his son.
