Pastor Walter Davis and the members of Rejected Stone Christian Fellowship will salute the outstanding community record of Ward Wesley at their 2020 Prayer Breakfast.
The event takes place on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 10 a.m., on the church campus at 4700 Avalon Blvd., in Los Angeles. According to Pastor Davis, Wesley will receive the Martin Luther King, Jr. Award in recognition of his positive efforts on behalf of youth and adults.
“Ward has helped so many people in his roles as an esteemed veteran, community advocate, citizen’s activist, mediator and youth developer,” Davis said. “We are honored to acknowledge his commitment and dedication to improving the neighborhoods of South L.A.”
The program will also feature an inspiring message by Minister Mark Auston of Southern Saint Paul Church. In addition, Steve Carlston, president and general manager of KNBC television station in Los Angeles, will be the guest of honor.
Davis added that the prayer is open to the public and the ticket donation is $10.
