Artist and community advocate EastSide K-Boy & PVJOBS/Re-entry Network, in collaboration with Phee-Nomenal-Women invite the public to their inaugural “Toys 4 Us” Toy Drive. The event will take place on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., at PVJOBS headquarters, located at 4112 S. Main Street, in the heart of the South Los Angeles neighborhood.
The “Toys 4 Us” initiative is set to bring holiday cheer to the community by distributing unwrapped toys to over 100 children and teens. In addition to the toy giveaway, attendees can enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities, including complimentary food provided by the iconic Trap Kitchen, free haircuts from on-site barbers, and live performances.
Local artists BlueFace Boyz, Baby Movin, Sensei Kyh, and Tha Lady Lok will debut tracks from an upcoming EP, ensuring an afternoon filled with entertainment and joy for all.
This event holds special significance for EastSide K-Boy who grew up in this neighborhood.

“I’ve been a part of the gang culture in this area, and now, as an activist and artist, I’m giving back to the same community that raised me,” K-Boy shared. Known as the “Eastside Nipsey Hussle,” K-Boy is committed to empowering his neighborhood by spreading a message of positivity.
“I want everybody to know you can come from these inner cities, these low-income places, poverty, and still make it and do something positive with your life,” he said.
As the Executive Director Mary Taylor notes, “PVJOBS has been a pillar in the South Central community, providing career-track employment opportunities for at-risk youth, adults, and veterans in industries like construction and beyond.” Located on the northeast corner of 41st Place and Main Street, PVJOBS continues to play a vital role in fostering economic growth and empowerment in the area.
