Black people, can we have an honest conversation, not one full of political correctness using someone else’s language to explain and describe our current situation as well as our views and values as people (Black people)? For all of you who said, “Yes,” let’s go! For all of you others, you can just head over to the next article.
Isn’t it sad, at best and pathetic, that lies and lying have gone viral in America? You do know that this type of behavior is not really foreign to America and American culture. Lying, cheating, stealing and “BS”ing is as American as apple pie and baseball. How else could anyone with an IQ over 2 explain the nearly 74 million plus Americans voting for an orange mendacious madman pretending to be human?

At a 2022 rally in North Carolina, Trump said and I quote, “I think I’m perhaps the most honest human being that God ever created,” and the crowd broke into applause. I can hear some of my good Christian brothers and sisters, “Now Tony, you should not go so far as to call the guy inhuman. God made us all and that’s not your call to make.” Really! He opened to door for the God conversation, not me, and many of you reading this better be glad I stopped cussing! The paper won’t run what I really want to say, but I digress.
We all know many parliamentarians, parsons, and people in general, wrestle with honesty daily; some of us more than others. Now this is not to say that I don’t understand that there are times when we all shade the truth to avoid hurting someone’s feelings, operating with the knowledge, and understanding that not everyone can handle the truth all the time. There are times when we all, to maintain the peace or to keep your hold our tongue.
This is not to say or justify lying but let’s be clear. Trump takes lying to another level! He tells the biggest “white lies” I’ve ever heard in my life and I’ve heard some whoppers! If you’re honest, you have, too. You know some of them: the Greeks created math and science, Christopher Columbus discovered America, Bo Derek was a 10 and Jesus and the disciples were white. Now, that’s lying.
Did you know that during and after his term as President, this neurotic narcissist told well over 30,573 documented (and counting) lies averaging about 21 per day? Can we be honest? This guy is both pathological and pathogenic. Not only is he sick, but like an airborne virus, he causes sickness every time he opens his mouth.
I’m bringing this up because we (Black people) have to really be cautious and cognizant of the craziness that we’re gonna be bombarded with on a daily basis until Tuesday, Nov. 5 and, believe me, if things go sideways for the devil, those demented Trump supporters are really gonna be off the chain in their conspiracy theories and madness.
We are going to read articles, see social media posts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X and social media sites I don’t even know about, not to mention all the straight-up crazy conversations about how Blacks are in full support of Trump. This is not to say that we don’t know a few friends, family members and people that we admire from afar (and some up close) who are in full support of Donald Trump. We’ve seen them all: poor Negros who admire his perceived wealth, wealthy or well-to-do Negros that want to maintain theirs and the just plain old house Negro you remember, “We sick, Boss.”
Please let’s not leave out those brothers and sisters who are so sad and sick as to believe any and everything they see on FOX, telling us what the polls are saying (This is the straight up BS I’m talking about). We are going to see poll after poll (white polls) showing Negroes that have jumped the fence and are now siding with Trump, Negroes who find more comfort and satisfaction in hugging chains rather than breaking them.
Black people, I know sometimes we feel that voting is just a joke and that your vote doesn’t mean anything, but that’s the biggest white lie ever told! If it didn’t mean anything, why do they continue to do all they can to block us from voting?
“So long as I do not firmly and irrevocably possess the right to vote, I do not possess myself,” Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said. “I cannot make up my mind – it is made up for me.”
Black people, let’s show them that, not only does our vote matter, so do we!!
