Leimert Park residents Rosalyn Bryant Clark and Breanna Clark are among the featured celebrities appearing at the 62nd Annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival.
The event kicks-off Friday, May 27, at 1 p.m., and continues on May 28-29, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Monday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The free festival will be held at Village Green Park located at Main Street and Euclid Street in Garden Gove.

Both of the track stars will participate in the festival’s opening ceremony on Friday at 6 p.m. as well as in the parade and autograph session on Saturday at 10 a.m. In addition, they will be part of several events and attractions highlighting the festival over the Memorial Day weekend.
The attractions include a VIP pancake breakfast, five contests with prizes, 18 game booths, and 33 carnival rides. Also scheduled are a Jaguar car show, performances by several bands and 153 food vendors.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone back to our annual free admission festival. [We are] mindful and in compliance with state and local current COVID 19 health protocols, and as such, we will be installing cleansing stations throughout the festival grounds for the general public’s safety attending our event this year,” said Patrick Catlin, president of the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival Association.
