Imagine using the power of laughter to change lives. On Friday, Nov. 22, at 8:30 p.m., The Broadwater Mainstage will transform into a night of comedy with a purpose: supporting children in Haiti who desperately need our help.

“Nick Alexander Presents: Laughs for Haiti” promises not only unforgettable laughs but also an opportunity to make a real impact.

Celebrating 15 years in the comedy scene, Nick has consistently pushed the envelope, from releasing his first hour special to producing stand-out events. This year, he is using his platform to give back to his roots.

As Nick explains, “The money we raise will support an underprivileged school in Haiti.” Specifically, the funds will benefit École National de Cornillon Grand Bois, providing much-needed resources and support to the children there.

Born and raised in New York, Nick’s inspiration for this event comes from his deep-rooted connection to the homeland of his father.

“I’ve been wanting to do something impactful for Haiti for years,” Nick shares.

The event promises a stellar lineup, featuring comedic heavyweights like Ty Sterlin, Megan Sousa, James Davis from Comedy Central’s “Hood Adjacent,” Franz Casseus from HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” and Shatara Curry from BET’s “Comic View” will host.

In addition, sketch comedy groups Cornbread Kitchen and Women of Color Anonymous will deliver their signature humor. For Cornbread Kitchen, this performance will be a special reunion of sorts, bringing the beloved comedy troupe back together for an unforgettable night.

“We eat, breathe, and do comedy for a living,” Nick says of the performers.

“So you should come out because it’s going to be an amazing show. And on top of that, it’s for a great cause.”

With ticket proceeds benefiting a small, under-resourced school in Haiti, attendees will not only enjoy world-class comedy but also contribute to a profound mission.

Nick Alexander proudly represents Haitian culture as the first in his family to break into the entertainment industry, marking an important milestone as an artist and entertainer.

“In LA, the Haitian culture is getting bigger,” Nick shares, emphasizing the growing sense of community over the past few years.

“We’re making ourselves known.”

While Haiti has produced iconic talents like Wyclef Jean in the music world, Nick notes that Haitian representation in comedy is still emerging.

“On the comedy side, we pack some really funny people too,” he says.
