Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass was the featured guest at “Homeless in LA: A Pathway Forward” on Oct. 4, at The Ebell. The event was presented in partnership with Imagine LA.
The program featured a conversation between Bass and Dr. Va Lecia Adams Kellum, CEO of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA). It was moderated by Sarah Dusseault, co-chair of the Blue Ribbon Commission and a strategist with The Angeleno Project. Janey Rountree, Executive Director of the California Policy Lab at UCLA gave a presentation prior to the discussion, and Jill Bauman, CEO emeritus of Imagine LA provided introductions.
“This group of fierce and compassionate women explored the major components driving the homelessness crisis in Los Angeles today and how city and county governments, nonprofits, and the private sector are collaborating on a strategic approach and a viable path forward,” said a spokesperson.
