The Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Los Angeles will observe the 37th Year Appreciation and Recognition Celebration of Pastor Melvin and Lady Jacquie Wade on Sunday, April 15, and Sunday, April 22, at 4269 South Figueroa Street in Los Angeles.

The theme is, ‘God’s Chosen: Our Shepherd’ based on Jeremiah 3:15. The Rev. Al and Mrs. Dorothy Fontenot are Anniversary chairs.

Under Dr. Wade’s leadership of Dr. Wade, Mount Moriah has engaged in local and national, causes, including the construction of the Mount Moriah Senior Villa, a forty unit apartment building for seniors to live independently, built in honor of the late Dr. Earl A. and Mrs. Olga W. Pleasant.

Guest preacher on April 15, at 9:15 a. m., will be the Rev. Emon Bailey, son of the late Dr. E. K. Bailey. At 4 p.m., the guests will be the Rev. Earl A. Pleasant and Greater New Bethel Baptist Church of Inglewood; Dr. R. A. Williams and McCoy Memorial Baptist Church; the Rev. George Hurt and Mount Sinai Baptist Church; the Rev. E. Wayne Gaddis and Greater True Light; and Bishop J. Bernard Hackworth and Testimonial Cathedral Church of God in Christ.

On Sunday, April 22, at 4 p.m., Reverend A. D. Iverson and Paradise Baptist Church and the special guests will be Bishop Noel Jones and the City of Refuge Church.
