In what will be a first-of-its kind agreement in Orange County, details were announced on March 3 of a labor contract for employees at the first licensed marijuana dispensary in Santa Ana, where one of the owners was shot in November.
South Coast Safe Access negotiated the contract with the Orange County Labor Federation’s United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 324, which represents pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy clerks.
A part-owner of the dispensary was shot and wounded about 3 p.m. Nov. 2 as the 48-year-old victim was exiting the business on his way to his vehicle in the parking lot, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
The attacker remains at large, he said.
