Man Killed in South Park Shooting

Authorities today identified a man who was fatally shot at the South Park Recreation Center in South Los Angeles and whose killer remains at large.

The shooting was reported at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the park at 51stStreet and Towne Avenue, Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Thomas Bojorquez said.

James Dunn, 48, died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office.


No arrests were reported. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call (877) LAPD-247.
