A Christmas Celebration and Toy Give-Away will be sponsored on Sunday, December 19, by Bishop Leon and Dr. Jacqueline Martin and the New Generation Youth Ministry of Love, Peace and Happiness Family Christian Fellowship.
The Celebration of Praise Service will be at 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. with the Toy Give-Away at 4 p.m. at the LPH Downey location, 11022 Old River School Road.
At 11:15 a.m., service will be held at the churchís Los Angeles edifice at 1850 W. 54th St. The Toy Give-Away takes place at 6 p.m.
ìLove, Peace and Happiness Church has been giving toys to the children in need at Christmas time for several years and as the holiday season fastly approaches, children are all excited about the toys and wish lists,î said Bishop Martin.
ìDuring this time of year, we usually give all of our children a toy and invite the neighborhood children to join the festivities. We can help make the children’s holiday a little brighter by giving them something to remember this day by. Children from near and far will be at this event,î said Dr. Jacqueline Martin.
Parents are encouraged to bring children of all ages to the free event, added Bishop Martin. ìThis will be an exciting, fun-filled and life-changing experience. Your children will never be the same.î
