More than 30 dogs available for adoption from shelters across Southern California
The Los Angeles Chargers added nine new members to the team during last week’s 2021 NFL Draft and now Chargers fans will have an opportunity to participate in an equally important draft of their own – the Chargers Doggie Draft presented by Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar.
Beginning Tuesday, May 4, the team’s pet adoption event will feature more than 30 undrafted “fur-agent” dogs from shelters across Southern California, including from LA Animal Services, OC Animal Care and the Helen Woodward Animal Center.
Thanks to the team’s ongoing partnership with Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, the Chargers have found foster homes and forever homes for more than 40 cats and dogs via virtual pet adoption events throughout 2020.
The adoption events, in addition to initiatives backed by the Chargers Impact Fund, are just one of many programs the organization has put in place to support animal welfare in the community.
