Lewis Metropolitan CME Church, will celebrate Family and Friends Day on Sunday, December 4, at 10:30 a.m., in the edifice located at 4900 S. Western Avenue in Los Angeles.
Pastor Travis A. Morris will deliver the morning sermon. Also, the congregation will recognize Cora Jackson-Fossett with a Community Service Award. Jackson-Fossett is the managing editor and religion editor of the L.A. Sentinel and L.A. Watts Times Newspapers.
Inviting the public to attend, Pastor Morris said, “This year, we are looking at ourselves with an attitude of gratitude, letting the Holy Spirit lift us in love, unity, and worship with thanks with a grateful heart. We have so much to be grateful for as we look back to our experiences during the pandemic, but we our here to celebrate in our church to celebrate another special day of worship.”
