The members of Trinity Baptist Church will welcome their former pastor, Dr. Dumas Alexander Harshaw, Jr., as the guest preacher on Sunday, October 22, at 10:30 a.m., at the edifice located at 2040 W. Jefferson Blvd., in Los Angeles.
According to Pastor Alvin Tunstill, Jr., Hashaw’s appearance is part of Trinity’s 100th anniversary celebration. Harshaw served as pastor from 1985 to 1993.
“We invite the entire community to come and hear Dr. Harshaw,” said Tunstill. “He has preached the gospel of Jesus Christ for more than 48 years. Also, he is a student of the Bible and systematic theology and is pursuing further study concerning the ministry of the Holy Spirit. I believe you will be highly blessed by his message.”
Harshaw, the pastor of First Baptist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina, has also served as a dean, adjunct professor, and guest lecturer at theology and divinity schools across the nation.
Currently, he co-chairs the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at North Carolina State University. A graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, Harshaw earned his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees at Claremont School of Theology.
