February 19-20, brought Saint’s on Crenshaw, a weekend-long, community powered pop-up in the heart of Los Angeles. As a way to celebrate the Season Five launch of their hit show “Snowfall”, FX hosted this free event at Vector 90, located at 3423 W. 43rd Place in Los Angeles, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saints on Crenshaw was a reservation-only event for people 18+.

Inspired by main character, Franklin Saint’s Los Angeles roots, and burgeoning real estate business in Season Five, Saints on Crenshaw featured pop-up storefronts from local Black-owned small businesses. The storefronts included products from local fashion, retail, jewelry, and plant brands including Brick & Wood, Post21, JéBlanc, and Queen LA, as well as artwork from DomoINK.

After browsing the shops, the community had a chance to refuel with grab-and-go food and beverages from local favorites such as Hank’s Mini Market, Harun, and Crenshaw Juice Co.

In addition to supporting local Black-owned small businesses, FX proudly collaborated with community organization, Vector90, and non-profit organization, Destination Crenshaw, in setting up shop inside “Franklin’s Office” at the event in order get guests eager to flex their entrepreneurial skill set.

FX also gave a donation to Destination Crenshaw to support the nonprofit’s mission to boost economic development, job creation, and environmental healing in the South L.A. community while elevating Black culture.

This Season on “Snowfall” will take their audience back to summer of 1985. Franklin Saints, played by Damson Idris, and his entire family are rich beyond their wildest dreams, and on the verge of having everything they could imagine.

Things take a turn when the ground begins to fall out from under their feet. When the sudden and tragic death of a basketball star makes the rock cocaine epidemic front-page news, law enforcement is on a warpath and the militarization of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) continues. The streets of South Central Los Angeles have never been so dangerous as the Saint family navigates the police, the warring gangs, the CIA, and even each other.

“Snowfall” is created by John Singleton, Dave Andron, and Eric Amadio. The fifth, high-stakes season premiered this week on FX.
