Ephesians NT Church and City of Fontana Plan MLK Events

Ephesians New Testament Church and the city of Fontana will sponsor two events to observe the birthday of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The annual worship service is set for Friday, Jan. 13, at 7:30 p.m., at the Mountain View Community Church, 8833 Palmetto Ave., in Fontana.  The guest speaker will be the Rev. Dr. James A. Forbes, Jr., pastor emeritus of Riverside Church of New York.  Forbes, a renowned theologian and lecturer, was ranked as one of the top 10 preachers the country by Newsweek Magazine.

The Grammy-nominated Los Angeles Gospel Messengers, directed by the Rev. Quincy Fielding, Jr., and Psalmist Betty Griffin Keller will also perform.

A jazz concert takes place on Sat., Jan. 14, at 7:30 p.m., at the Fontana Steelworkers Auditorium, 8427 Sierra Avenue in Fontana. Performers include Grammy Award-winner Kirk Whalum and Jeanette Harris and the Jeanette Harris Band.
