RentSpree hosted an awards luncheon on January 11th, 2018 to recognize and present awards to the top real estate agents and brokerages that worked with leasing in Malibu during 2017.
Malibu is a hotspot for rental transactions and its real estate agents handle among the highest volume of lease transactions per agent out of all agents in Los Angeles County. Rental housing is a pillar of the Malibu community with 30% of all housing inventory occupied by renters. Malibu real estate agents and brokerages are at the center of it all.

Donna Bohana, founder of Solstice International Realty and a top Malibu area realtor for the past twenty years, was among the twenty-three honorees. Bohana also has the notable distinction of being the sole African American female real estate agent in the Malibu area.

Over her illustrious career, Bohana has set records for the highest rental in Pacific Palisades Highlands at $62k per month and the highest sale at $9.4 million. She has worked with high profile clients such as NBA player Chris Bosh and Emmy Award winning actor and singer Donald Glover. She has also been the listing agent for Malibu’s elite Point Dume and Coastline properties showing to Diana Ross, Kobe Bryant, Tommy Lee, Damon Dash, and NBA’s Joe Kim Noah, among others. She has helped the professional who’s who for the past 24 years and found homes at elite rental properties and high-end sales alike. She also works with corporate relocation strategists for companies like Biotech giant, Amgen.
In addition, Bohana represents commercial real estate listings for restaurant leasing and sales. She is currently negotiating for a large high-end sports restaurant to go into Westlake Village.
Bohana’s accolades include success with some of the most sought-after properties in the area. Equally her client list continues to impress as she sets the bar for her industry and is a professional role model for women of diversity entering the profession.
