Acclaimed vocalist Lura Daniels-Ball will headline the annual free concert sponsored by the Congregational Church of Christian Fellowship (CCCF).
The program, “Oh Come Let Us Adore Him,” will be held on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 5 p.m., in the CCCF sanctuary, 2085 S. Hobart Blvd., in Los Angeles. The Rev. James K. McKnight is the host pastor.
Appearing with Daniels-Ball will be her protégée, Randall Lindsey, along with the CCCF Sanctuary Choir, saxophonist Varetta Heidelberg, Ash Lee, tenor, Cedric Berry, baritone, Stephanie Williams, soprano, AWDIV Band and Amber Liekhus, soprano.
Formally classified as a lyric soprano, Daniels-Ball, is renowned for her tonally rich, emotionally powerful and uniquely nuanced vocals. A popular soloist at CCCF and throughout Southern California, she recently launched her third release, “God is the Strength of My Heart,” featuring Christian and gospel music on CD and digital download. Her previous album, “In The Joy of The Season,” has proven to be a holiday favorite among fans.
Though young in age, Lindsey has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall with the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Our Lady of the Angeles Cathedral, Royce Hall, Schoenberg Hall at UCLA, St. Mark’s Basilica, and St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, Italy.
“When I first heard Randall, I knew that she had a remarkable gift. The beauty of her tone has grown as well as her ability to express what she is communicating thru song,” said Daniels-Ball.
