“Rise of the 10 toes” is still in view here and on my radar. To what am I referring to the title, “Conquer The World?” Remember what Jesus said, “Be of good cheer. I have overcome the world.”

Jesus came as the “perfect” image of “the Father.” He came and did what the Father  told him to do.  He was obedient until death. Being both fully human and divine, He was set on high. After His ascension, he was enthroned on the “right hand” of the Father.

Being human, He cried, slept, felt compassion for others” and other evidence of His humanness. Although His staunch adversary attempted to actually tempt Him, Satan’s attempted temptations were not successful.

Satan gave Jesus every opportunity to fall.  Jesus was protected being “the first begotten of the Father.” Jesus had a mission, and He was on a divine timeline. That’s why He told His brothers, “You can go to the feast anytime. I will attend at the specific time as already pre-arranged by “my father.” In Jesus’ divine mission, He had no time to waste with what His brothers or anyone said. Others tried to confuse His mission and change His direction. This was ongoing and testified to in the New Testament.

We may ask ourselves the question, “How can I conquer the world?” If we are believers in Jesus Christ, that alone gives us propriety in overcoming and conquering the world. Who of us can say we have never been tempted.  No one. If we say we have not been tempted, we are liars.

We can continually step up attempting to scale that high bar.  Nimrod tried it, along with many others. The book of Job demonstrates Job’s focused attempt to climb that high bar of “overcoming the world.” It seems likely that Job thought if he would sacrifice for his children that might save them from falling down the ladder going into more idolatrous behavior as they ate and drank at each other’s houses.

Job’s sacrifices were well meaning. Jehovah showed him that He was sovereign in all His ways. Studying the experience of Job explains the things that happen to people do not mean that they are bad people and deserve bad things to happen to them.

Do you remember when the parents of the crippled/disabled, blind man were being blamed for the condition of their son? Jesus explained that it was not that his parents had sinned. But the healing was to publicly demonstrate the power of the Almighty God!

The same today. When we remember there is only ONE GOD!! This is central and primary. That does not mean we do not pray for ourselves, our family, friends, business associates, and the saints, our government. All are important.

I want to move to another scenario on this topic of “Conquer The World.” Israel has been sieged many times. The Old Testament is centered around Israel. This is not new. Nations will revolt against other nations. They are conspiring even as I write. These prophecies are biblically attested confirmed. Continued next week.
