The Department of Women of Southern California First Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ will sponsor its Annual Community Outreach Day on Saturday, December 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Hale Morris Lewis Manor, 1307 West 105th Street in Los Angeles.
Bishop Joe L. Ealy is jurisdictional prelate of Southern California First Jurisdiction, Dr. Barbara McCoo Lewis is the jurisdictional supervisor of women and assistant general supervisor of women of the Church of God in Christ, and Mrs. Barbara Heard is the Annual Community Outreach Day coordinator.
During the event, volunteers will offer a range of services including free groceries, clothing, toys, school supplies, hygiene kits and child identification cards courtesy of New York Life. Also, information will be available on mental health, legal aid, senior care and the foster care/adoption process. In addition, several free health screenings will be conducted onsite by licensed professionals as well as spiritual support provided the evangelism ministry.
