The event is held annually by the LACPCA to increase awareness and appreciation for the indispensable services police dogs provide in detecting and preventing crime, covering officers, and protecting the public’s safety.  This year’s event will feature a Safety Fair from 1-3 pm and K-9 Demo from 3-5 pm.

As a community sponsor, Cardinal Pet Care will feature its line of Crazy Dog Train-Me! Treats in the event program.  “We are proud and honored to support these amazing dogs and the great service they perform for the community,” said Tony de Vos, president of Cardinal Pet Care.  “As a company of animal lovers, we are deeply impressed with police dogs’ skills and bravery, and are thrilled to work with the LACPCA to gain more recognition for them.”

The LACPCA is a group of nearly 60 law enforcement agencies from across Los Angeles County that utilize canines in police work.  It was formed to promote the exchange of ideas in areas such as training police dogs, utilizing their skills more effectively, and enhancing their image with the public.
