Grace United Methodist Church welcomes volunteers to assist with their annual distribution of 500 dinners to the homeless on Nov. 29, said Pastor Cedrick Bridgeforth. Participants should meet at 9 a.m., at Grace UMC, 4112 W. Slauson Ave., in Los Angeles, to assemble the dinners and then volunteers will travel to skid row for the distribution. Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church observes their 61st Anniversary with several events at 6614 S. Western Ave., in Los Angeles, said Pastor Ticey Brown. On Nov. 30, at 4 p.m., an All-Male Revue is planned with performances by the Mt. Tabor Mighty Male Chorus, Mt. Sinai Praise and Mime Ministry, the Furnance Jazz Band, guitarist David Grone, artist Yukon, the Rev. David Price, and Kae-Esó Pitchford and the Church Boys. The donation is $20. On Dec. 1, three services will be held. At 8 a.m., Pastor Rikki Ferrell of Greater New Bethel Baptist Church will preach. Pastor Richard Williams of Victory Institutional Baptist Church will deliver the sermon at 11 a.m., and Pastor Darryl Barnes of Paradise Baptist Church will bring the message at the 3:45 p.m. worship. Trinity Baptist Church plans its 12th annual Homeless Blanket Drive on Dec. 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in their garage parking lot at 2040 W. Jefferson Blvd., in Los Angeles, said Pastor Alvin Tunstill and homeless activist Brian Ferguson. Donations of new full, queen or king size blankets and pillows will be collected. Miracle Temple Church of God Pentecostal host their annual Community Christmas Luncheon on Dec. 21, at 1 p.m., at 109 W. Buckthorn St., in Inglewood, said Bishop Johnny Young, senior pastor. The event will be held in the fellowship hall and is open to the public.

Brookins-Kirkland Community AME Church plans Christmas Musical on on Dec. 21, at 3 p.m., at 3719 W. Slauson Ave., in Los Angeles, said Pastor Mary S. Minor. The Music Ministry sponsors the event.
