The way these new Rams lost to the ‘49ers, 28-0, it doesn’t look as if these new Rams will get any better tomorrow or for years to come.

The Boston Red Sox’s David Ortiz is on his way to MLB’s Hall Fame averaging 31 homers in his 20-year career. Don’t fret! Ortiz’s star power replacement is young 23-year outfielder Mookie Betts. He has been lethal in the Red Sox’s 14 games. Now the fans and management want to know how much more one player can give. Betts drove in the winning run in three of the Red Sox’s most important victories. Betts is too good to be true.

Coach Clay Helton’s 1-1 USC Trojans can salvage their battle vs. Coach David Shaw’s Stanford Cardinals up on The Farm. Stanford was idle last week and is 1-0 on the season.

Coach Jim Mora and UCLA are 1-1 as the Bruins visit BYU Saturday.

It’s bad news today for QB Robert Griffin III and first Coach Hue Jackson of the Cleveland Browns. Griffin broke a bone in his shoulder and is expected to be for 8-weeks or maybe for the season.

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson injured an ankle in a 12-10 win over Miami Dolphins and was walking around in a protective boot and plans to play Sunday vs. the Rams at the Coliseum.

The Southland probably has more built in rivalries than any other section of the country. Included are the Lakers vs. the Clippers, USC vs. UCLA, the hockey Kings and Ducks and more high school rivalries than you can dream about.

If you believe the media running back Todd Gurley will become the most dominate athlete in L.A. Gurley 7 rushes for 30-yards last year and 5 for 40-yards although he played in only 13 games because of injuries.
