Six-foot-eight inch sophomore Billy Preston will be transferring to another school after he was checked out of Redondo Union on Monday Jan. 5.
Preston is considered among the elite underclass basketball players in America and transferred to Redondo Union from St. John Bosco following last season.
When he lands at his next school, presumably Prime Prep of Texas or Findlay Prep of Las Vegas.
Rumors circulating as to why Preston was checked out of Redondo Union by his mother range from him not being selected to he All Tournament Team at the Under Armor Classic to him not being the last player announced at the recently held Jordan Take flight Challenge at the Jordan Hangar last weekend.
He was not effective during a key defeat at the Jordan TFC against Bishop Montgomery as the Sea Hawks lost its second consecutive game of the season to fall to 11-4.
