Authorities Identify Bicyclist Fatally Shot in South Los Angeles

Authorities today identified a bicyclist who was fatally shot in South Los Angeles, apparently by an assailant who opened fire from a vehicle.

The shooting occurred about 12:15 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of 95thStreet, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Deandre Wells, 31, died at the scene, the coroner’s office reported. His home town was not known.

No arrests were reported, and investigators were unsure of a motive for the crime.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call (877) LAPD-247.
