Authorities today identified a man who was fatally shot in Leimert Park, as the search continued for three men who ran from the scene.
The shooting occurred about 1 a.m. Sunday near 43rd Place and Crenshaw Boulevard, said Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
Darcell Anthony Cook, 30, of Los Angeles died at the scene, the coroner’s office reported.
Cook was approached by three men, then shot for unknown reasons, Im said.
No suspect descriptions were released.
