Assemblyman Mike Davis Hosted an Informative Small Business Breakfast Featuring Guest Speaker Faye W. McClure, VP of Strategic Marketing, Farmers Group, Inc.

Assemblyman Mike Davis hosted the 48th District Spring Small Business Breakfast mixer, at the California African American Museum Conference Center, featuring guest speaker Faye W. McClure, Vice President of Strategic Marketing, Farmers Group, Inc. Ms. McClure’s expertise of business in the inner cities has increased Farmers’ presence in the urban communities in California. Her power point presentation detailed the company’s marketing strategies that can be tailored to benefit the needs of smaller businesses.

“Farmers Insurance has been an outstanding corporate citizen sponsoring numerous community programs in our region. It is a pleasure to host the Vice President of Strategic Marketing, Faye
W. McClure, who has provided extraordinary leadership in bringing Farmers Insurance resources to the Los Angeles Region,” Assemblyman Mike Davis remarked.

Since 1928, Farmers Insurance has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to their agents and the communities they serve. They understand that full support of the independent agents, from their extensive training at University of Farmers to local neighborhood campaigns, motivates and equips them to be the leaders in their communities. Farmers’ long standing pledge to giving back to the education sector, through educational programs and grants, was dramatized in their newest program Second to None. After viewing the DVD, the attendees had a real sense of the depth of dedication the company has for supplying quality materials to over 400,000 classrooms and 8 million students annually.

The proposed “Farmers Field” is a major example of the company’s aggressive branding strategy. The 30-year contract is estimated to cost well over 700 million dollars. This deal promises to bring jobs and contracts to small businesses in Southern California.
