A Statement from Danny J. Bakewell, Sr. Regarding Arrest in Jackie Avant Murder
By L.A Sentinel News Service
Published December 2, 2021

Jacqueline Avant

I am relieved to hear that an arrest has been made so quickly and I thank the Beverly Hills and Los Angeles Police for working so quickly.   I hope that all the perpetrators and anyone else who participated in this heinous crime is arrested and brought to justice.

This, unfortunately, does not and will not relieve the pain that Clarence, Nicole, Alex and all who knew Jackie are feeling today.
I can only hope as we all do, that this little bit of justice, over time will help ease the pain of losing a wife a mother, and a friend.”–  Danny J Bakewell Sr – Chairman/Executive Publisher of the Los Angeles Sentinel & close friend of the Avant Family.
