Solombra Ingram, founder of the I’m Every Woman Foundation, in a partnership with the Volunteers of America, will host the 5th Annual Reflection of Hope Military Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, December 3, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott Hotel, 5855 Century Blvd., in Los Angeles.
Aundrae Russell, popular host of “Spread the Word” and program director for radio station KJLH, 102.3 FM, will serve as emcee.
“The prayer breakfast has proven to be a heartwarming kick-off of the Christmas Season – in prayer and helping others,” said Ingram. “The key purpose of the breakfast is to honor veterans who have served and made sacrifices for our nation, and also to provide Christmas gifts for the children of military families, who stand in need.”
Four special guests will be honored, including actor/veteran Richard Lawson; Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Karen A. Gauff; U.S. Navy Chaplain Rick Robledo and Los Angeles Veterans Collaborative Community Program Administrator Nathan Graeser.
Lawson served a tour of duty in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War before embarking on a successful acting career, which has spanned over 40 years. A well-known actor in film and television, he is currently starring as Pastor Evan Johnson on the series, “Saints and Sinners.” Lawson is married to stylist Tina Knowles and the father of actress Bianca Lawson (Queen Sugar).
The breakfast will also feature live entertainment and participation by surprise celebrity presenters. The public is welcome to attend.
