Charles Aaron McGee known affectionately as “Uncle Charles” was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 21, 1935. McGee’s life was one of service and giving of his time where ever he was needed. During the 70s and 80s , he was a volunteer for the Veterans Hospital and senior volunteer for the L.A. Sentinel Newspaper. McGee also worked with the President Obama campaign in the late 2000’s and would later work with the campaign to elect  George McKenna to the Board of Education in 2014. Mothers in Action called him “the Mayor” and he was always ready to lend a helping hand. One of the biggest jobs with Mothers in Action was his during the Thanksgiving dinner to the Seniors at Good Shepherd Manor. Charles Aaron McGee passed at the age of 80 years in his sleep. He will be greatly missed and his memory forever cherished. Rest in peace Uncle Charles.
