Renewal, rejuvenation and restoration highlight the Pentecost Revival 2016 sponsored by Southern St. Paul Church.
The event kicks-off Sunday, May 15, at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., on the church’s main campus at 4678 West Adams Blvd., in Los Angeles. Worship services continue on Monday, May 16 and Tuesday, May 17, at 6:45 p.m.
“I am so enthusiastically excited about Pentecost Revival. We have a great revivalist, Bishop John E. Guns of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. He has the ability to unlock the mysteries of God’s Word and make the Word relevant and applicable in such a way that we know the movement, pattern and ways of God,” declared Southern St. Paul Pastor Xavier L. Thompson.
“Many believers are frustrated, tired and exhausted. They have done all they know how to do and yet, are not getting ahead, see results or living victorious in their lives. Pentecost is about empowerment. Believers, non-believers, young people and seasoned saints should attend because this revival is about receiving what you need to carryout your God-given assignment,” said Thompson.
Bishop Guns has served at St. Paul since 1996. He was consecrated as an auxiliary in the Global United Fellowship in 2014. The author of several books, Bishop Guns is the founder/CEO of St. Paul Community Empowerment Center, Inc., Project for Strong Families, Inc., and JEG Music Group, LLC.
A graduate of Norfolk State University, he received both his Masters of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry from Virginia Union University, School of Theology.
