Project Pit, an innovative partnership platform uniting artists, brands, and organizations to deliver events that intersect entertainment with social impact, announced the lineup for the 2nd annual I Love Myself Festival taking place at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 19.

The line-up for the mental health awareness event includes a performance by Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Mario. Also, chart-topping multiplatinum-selling artist Omarion will participate in the honoree ceremony.

Project Pit also announced that it will honor Jhene Aiko (singer-songwriter), Angela White aka Blac Chyna (entrepreneur and TV personality), Pretty Vee (comedian and actress), Kayla Nicole (fitness influencer and Founder of Tribe Therepe), Stephanie Ike Okafor (pastor and podcast host), Derek Ali (Grammy Award-winning and multi-RIAA certified mixing engineer), Holly J. Mitchell (Los Angeles County Supervisor), Scottie (Founder and CEO of SBRBN Media), Ali Hasan (wellness entrepreneur), Blavity, and The Drew League for inspiring and invoking change.

“Excited for our Second Annual I Love Myself Festival in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month,” said Carlton Roberts, founder of Project Pit.

“The festival is a celebration of healing, culture, community, and a reminder that people are not alone. We are happy that we’re able to bring the community together in this capacity and provide entertainment, access to wellness resources, and honor those making an impact.”

I Love Myself Festival is both a physical and digital event aimed at breaking down negative stereotypes associated with mental health by celebrating healing, community, freedom of expression, support, and resource sharing. Last year’s inaugural festival attracted over 3,000 attendees.

The I Love Myself Festival will feature a full day of free programming for all ages from 10 AM to 5 PM PT. Onsite activations including:

  • Garden Stage – A sanctuary of tranquility and learning! Immerse yourself in the harmonious blend of a music performance R&B Yoga, the soothing vibrations of Sound Bowls by Sol & Sound, and guided meditations led by a surprise guest. Join engaging panel discussions covering diverse topics such as grief, finances, mental health, self-care for caregivers, and the importance of filling your cup first. Embrace this space of growth, healing, and self-discovery as we journey together toward mental well-being and inner peace.

 

  • Kid Zone + Sparks Zone – Where positivity and fun go hand in hand! Engage in mindful games like air hockey, ping pong, jumbo Jenga, and Connect Four to boost your focus and relaxation. For more activity, try the I Love Myself Sparks Zone, an extension of the Kids Zone that focuses on movement through basketball. Explore our collection of stress balls and more to help you unwind and find peace within yourself. Remember, you are strong, you are capable, and you are deserving of happiness and inner peace!

 

  • Mental Health Resource Village – A holistic haven for nurturing your mind, body, and soul! Take charge of your well-being with hypertension screenings, dental check-ups, and access to essential mental health resources. Engage with our onsite licensed therapists for personalized support and guidance while participating in rejuvenating movement activities to uplift your spirit. Remember, your mental health is just as important as your physical health – prioritize self-care and embrace a journey toward holistic wellness!

 

  • Vendor Village – A vibrant hub dedicated to nurturing the mind, body, and soul! Explore a diverse array of community vendors offering natural and organic shea butters, unique clothing, handmade jewelry, inspiring art, and nourishing vegan and vegetarian food options. Dive into a holistic experience as you discover products that promote well-being and self-care. Engage with like-minded individuals, support local artisans, and treat yourself to items that uplift and nourish every aspect of your being!

The I Love Myself Festival was created by Project Pit, whose mission is to weave together the thrill of entertainment with the power of social impact.
