Presiding Bishop Emeritus Charles E. Blake, Sr., and Dr. Lula Ballton were honored at the 30-Year Legacy Annual Unity Awards Gala sponsored by West Angeles Community Development Corporation (WACDC) on Friday, Feb. 23, at the Beverly Regent Hotel in Beverly Hills.

According to Dr. Belinda Allen, executive director of WACDC, Presiding Bishop J Drew Sheard, chief apostle of the Church of God in Christ, Inc., was the keynote guest. Also, vocalist David Daughtry and pianist Shelea provided entertainment.
West Angeles CDC, founded in 1994, is the developer of more than $100 million of real estate, manager of nearly a dozen programs, and a leader in economic development along the Crenshaw Corridor in South Los Angeles.
