West Angeles Community Development Corporation (CDC) will salute Presiding Bishop Emeritus Charles E. Blake, Sr., and Dr. Lula Ballton, at its 30-Year Legacy Annual Unity Awards Gala on Friday, Feb. 23, at 6 p.m., at the Beverly Regent Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Presiding Bishop J Drew Sheard, chief apostle of the Church of God in Christ, Inc., will be the keynote guest. Also, vocalist David Daughtry and pianist Shelea will provide the entertainment.

West Angeles CDC, founded in 1994, is the developer of nearly $50 million of real estate, manager of nearly a dozen programs, and a leader in economic development along the Crenshaw Corridor such as the future construction of Crenshaw Crossing with 400 affordable housing units, jobs, a grocery store, and more amenities.
The Unity Awards were created in 1995 to celebrate individuals, families, and corporations who, through uncommon selfless service, charitable giving, and special activities, embody the best in socially responsible community building.
The Unity Awards Gala is a black-tie event with over 700 guests including LA’s influential businesses, government, philanthropic and faith-based leaders. All proceeds from the Gala will benefit the West Angeles CDC.
