For the past 16 years, Taste of Soul has been a beautiful expression of our love for our community. As a country and community, we persevered through one of the toughest years of our lifetimes. We are not completely out of this pandemic, and we recognize the responsibility we have in keeping the health of our community first. After some careful thought, we have decided to cancel our 2021 Taste of Soul Family Festival for the general health and welfare of our community. We are aching to be back together celebrating our culture again in person — BIGGER and BETTER at our 2022 Taste of Soul on historic Crenshaw Boulevard.
This year, we will be hosting a drive thru only “Community Day of Service & Soul” on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 9am to 1pm from 39th Street to Coliseum along Crenshaw Boulevard. Taste of Soul is planning a day of ‘Giving Back’ to those in need of food, groceries, clothing, shoes, personal hygiene items, PPE supplies, mental health and physical health services, covid testing and vaccines, gift bags and gift cards to purchase hot food from local restaurants. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the date.
Bakewell Media’s goal is for the Taste of Soul Community of sponsors, elected officials and our non-profit partners to come together to help thousands of families who are still in need and working hard to put their lives back together during the Covid-19 health crisis, which has personally impacted their physical and mental health, financial and professional lives.
