United States Senator and former presidential candidate Kamala Harris endorsed Charlotte “Char” Bland today for her campaign to the Pasadena City Council as her strong showing of support continues to grow.

“Senator Harris has been a champion in fighting for the rights of all communities to thrive,” said Char Bland.  “I’m deeply honored to earn her support for my election to the city council to bring the positive change Pasadena needs.”

The second African-American woman and first South Asian-American senator in history, Kamala Harris serves as a United States Senator for California.  She is a lifelong public servant, formerly running for president in the 2020 Democratic primary and serving as District Attorney of the City and County of San Francisco in 2003 and California Attorney General from 2011 to 2017.
